Graflex SR battery booster Cat.No.2095
Made in the USA by Graflex, Inc. 117v, 0.5amp,60hz
$40.00
Lamp is lit when plugged in. The 33ft SR-20 extension cable has a 4-female post connection on one side, and 4-male pin connection on the other; cable is supple, but insulation cracking.
Info from the net:
"Graflex Model 2095 Booster that was used to boost (and extend the useful life) of the dry cell high voltage batteries that were used in the Graflex HV power packs (not the RG Ni-Cad battery packs) that powered the electronic flash lamp heads. "
Info from Google docs:
"The SR Battery
Booster was not a
charger, but a device to
help obtain the maxi-
mum energy from the
batteries. It actually
depolarized the batteries to bring them back to normal opera-
tion, keeping the recycling period to a minimum. If the Battery
Booster was used properly, it could double the number of
flashes received from the battery.b. The Stroboflash Units could be used with the Battery
Booster connected, using the 20-foot Extension Cord, while the
batteries were being used, minimizing battery drain.c. The Battery Booster could be used to re-form the Strobo-
flash Units' capacitors. Electrolytic capacitors could become
de-formed if a unit was idle for several months, minimizing
battery drain as well. The SR 20-foot Extension
Cord (catalog number 2050)
was very useful in a number
of ways:a. As mentioned earlier, it
was used with both the Bat-
tery Booster and the Battery
Analyzer.b. The Extension Cord could
provide multiple lamp operation using a second or even a third
lamphead from a single Power Pack for in-studio operation (I
would suggest a second lamphead for a Stroboflash II Power Pack
and a third, if necessary, for the Stroboflash III & IV.). This could
be accomplished in two ways: First, one or two extension cords
connected in parallel. Second, two or three extension cords in a Y
connection.c. By adding one or more extra lampheads, there was a slight loss
of light... three lampheads, approximately -stop of the total light
output. The light was divided as follows: 50% to the normal heads,
30% to the second lamphead, and 20% to the third lamphead. With
just two lampheads, it was 60% and 40% with no appreciable loss
of light."

I tried the handle, but it doesn't seem like it unscrews at the bottom, but at the top it is held by four screws. I unscrewed them and took pictures of the inside.
I loaded the pics here:
